Luna (was Rosie)

"I have always had dogs in my life but never a rescue dog. My son and daughter-in-law were rescuing a pup from Macedonia (they ended up adopting sibling puppies because they could not bear to break them up). I thought very hard about adopting a dog as my house was not a home without one.

I started the process of adopting from Macedonia. Once I had started I became more and more excited about the prospect. Joining the on-line web site I saw many dogs in need of a good home. It was very difficult as I wanted to adopt all of them. Looking into their beautiful eyes made me want to cry. However, eventually I did manage to control myself and went onto adopt Luna.

The charity was extremely helpful and I felt part of the family straight away. After all the legal adoption forms were completed and I had been accepted as a suitable adoptee I was given the thumbs up and Luna’s journey to her new home began.

I loved her from the start. She has her own passport with all the required vaccines documented. It’s great to have her around. I am so glad that I have a rescued dog and hope others will start to look for their own Best Friend. Luna is my gorgeous little treasure."
